The following are from some CAI Open Forum Posts:(1) Disciplinary Committee: If a Board member helps decide the initial violation fine, they should NOT be on the hearing committee. Discussion about what "chief executive officer" indicates. 2.2 Our state and other states require all board members to receive the exact same information that any other board member receives related to the operation of the association. 2.4 It bothers me when the President of the Board is compared to a CEO. MDFarms.website link , CAI Link . (3) Conflicts of Interest: should there appear to be any personal (family or partner) benefit from a decision, recuse self from anything to do with the topic. Any discussion or non-agreeing vote means that the topic must be handled in a board meeting. b. our bylaws allow our board to take action outside of a meeting as long as all board members respond. c.
